Your Memories Shared!

"I was just learning to play guitar when I first heard the single Nights Are Forever Without You. I was about fourteen, and the song blew me away. American Top 40 was on each Saturday in Trinidad (West Indies) where I live. All the music on the charts was great, and this song stood out as one of the best. I wish I could take a time trip back to 1971, go right up to around 1977, and keep on looping back and forth. It was the best time ever in the world. We guys were supposed to be chivalrous, the girls were supposed to be ladies ( as in Three Times A Lady ), and the music was magic. Too bad that the moneymaking machine of the music biz twisted things so out of proportion that we've wound up with the destructive messages in the music kids listen to now. "

"The name of the duo stuck out. I was crazy infatuated with a girl at my High School in S. A. T. X. at the time. I first heard the song, and spent the Summer of '76, in Sacramento CA "thinking about" her. We never clicked but the song sure did; and at times still does. It is fun to hear some of these oldies on a great stereo system. All I had back then was a transistor radio. "Love is the Answer" is another story."
