Super Bowl XII

By Wikipedia

Super Bowl XII was played on January 15, 1978 at the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. The Dallas Cowboys beat the Denver Broncos 27 to 10. The game was the first Super Bowl played indoors. It was broadcast on CBS with Pat Summerall and Tom Brookshier and had the highest Nielsen ratings of any football game to that point in time.

Asked after the game what he thought made the difference between the two teams, Denver kicker Jim Turner replied, "We went in thinking about winning. They went in thinking about football."

With a balanced offensive attack and no clear MVP on that side of the ball, two members of the Doomsday Defense shared the MVP honors. Defensive tackle Randy White and defensive end Harvey Martin led a Dallas defense that forced 8 Denver Broncos turnovers and held Broncos' QB's to only 8 out of 25 passing for 61 yards and four interceptions.
