Super Bowls in the Super70sBy Patrick Mondout
The AFC dominated the Super Bowl with five
straight wins at one point. One team in particular dominated the decade
just as the Packers had done in the 60s: The long-suffering Pittsburgh
Steelers, with Franco Harris, Lynn Swann, Terry Bradshaw and the
famed "Steel Curtain" defense won four titles to easily win the Super70s.com
NFL Team of the Decade award.
The Steelers were also featured on a stamp issued by the US Postal
Service in 1999 as part of the Celebrate the Century series (see
right).
