Miami DolphinsBy Patrick Mondout
Dolphins fans may have wished for more Super Bowl victories over the
years - especially as Dan Marino's career came to a close - but few teams
in any sport can match the regular season success they've had in recent
decades. From the time Don Shula took over as head coach in 1970 through
the time this article was written (early 2004), the Dolphins have finished
under .500 only twice!
While Dan Marino's unprecedented yardage and touchdown totals may be
the first memory that comes to mind when you see a Dolphins helmet, who
can forget the only undefeated and untied team of the Super Bowl era? Even
if some team duplicates their remarkable feat, no team can exceed what the
'72 Dolphins accomplished.
