New York Apples

By Patrick Mondout

The New York Sets were one of the worst teams in the inaugural World Team Tennis season. They improved dramatically the second season and finished with the second best record in the league. The team won the 1976 WTT championship over San Francisco.

The team changed its name to the New York Apples for the 1977 season, but the results were the same: another championship.
