San Diego Fliers

By Patrick Mondout

The San Diego Fliers entered World Team Tennis in 1975 as an expansion franchise. After a pair of miserable seasons, they changed their name to the Friars and finished in third.

In the last WTT season, they finished with the second best record in the league and won the Western division only to lose in the first round of the playoffs to Seattle.
