Rosetti and RyanBy Patrick Mondout
Rosetti and Ryan was a legal drama about a pair of defense lawyers who
worked together as partners in their own law firm. Joseph Rosetti (Tony
Roberts) came from an upper middle class home and had come out of college
as a lawyer. Frank Ryan was a former police officer who worked his way
through law school with night courses.
Their varied backgrounds were used by the writers to try to
differentiate the short-lived series from other legal dramas. Despite
their good looks and legal skills, Rosetti and Ryan was found
guilty of boring TV viewers by the Nielsen
families and sentenced to cancellation by NBC in November of its first
year. There were no appeals. |
