Glen Campbell Goodtime HourBy Pete Jamison
Now being released for reruns in various places, the "Goodtime
Hour" featured guest performances by almost every major act working
in the late 1960's. Originally on as a summer replacement for the Smothers
Brothers' show, Campbell had an unexpected hit and the network gave him
his own slot and booked Ray Charles, Three Dog Night, Neil Diamond, Ella
Fitzgerald, Stevie Wonder, Roger Miller - the list is too long.

Glen Campbell was one of the most gifted country singers that hit it big during the 60s/70s. Most people that I knew back then loved both his show and music. It was one of the great family-oriented shows from that era that was enjoyed by people of all ages, from kids to seniors. He always had lots of talented guests on his weekly series, and I will always fondly remember the Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour as one of my all time favorite variety shows. --Anonymous | Note: This is just a random sample of the Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour messages in our TV forums!
