"As a follow up to their Horizon album, A Kind of Hush falls short of the diversity of the previous album. However, it was at this time that a revitalized Karen and Richard toured promoting this album. This album contained one of Karen's favorite songs, I Need To Be In Love. Also, it was the Carpenters rendition of Breaking Up Is Hard To Do to prove that the controversy surrounding them firing Neil Sedaka as an opening act had been resolved." --Anonymous |
