Bearcats was one of the best adventure time period show of the
Super70s. The show derived its name from the car, a 1916 Series A Stuz
Bearcat. An American sports car for the 1910's. In the pilot movie had the
car with two 50 caliber machine gun on the fenders. It added a bit style
to the car. The actors, Rod Taylor and Dennis Cole, were perfect for the
role of Hank Brackett and Johnny Reach, two American mercenary's helping
big business but also the little guy throughout the series. Unfortunately
it lasted only 13 episodes. It is a shame since the show had all the
elements that made it good, good actors, fast actions plots, a great
classic car, fast beat Theme song and the show was fun. The characters and
the show was just filled with fun. It was not only a shame for the show to
end so early but we do not see enough of Rod Taylor and Dennis Cole on the
air as much we should see. The pilot had a strong beginning with some
great [some cases late] actors. The talents of Fernando Lamas, John
McIntire, William Bryant, and Michael Ansara all made the movie great.

Picture this, its 1914 in the desert southwest and our heros, Rod Taylor and Dennis Cole are adventurers who travel not by horse, but in a car called a Stutz Bearcat.
