With all the hoopla over forensic shows on TV today (CSI, CSI Miami, Crossing Jordan, etc;), not many people remember this pioneer show dealing with modern day forensics. I remember Hec Ramsey as part of a rotation of Sunday Night Mystery Movies with McMillan and Wife, The Name of The Game, etc. Hec was an aging turn of the century lawman who used modern day forensics to solve crimes. He used methods that were "way ahead of its time" for the supposed era, circa 1901 Oklahoma. More credit should be given to this show, yet, not many of today's "Generation X" would know of it (nor were some of them even born yet). . . mostly the "baby boomers" if they watched the show. Hec's techniques at solving crimes were always a great watch if you were into a good Sunday night mystery show. I wish they would show reruns of this classic TV episode, starring Richard Boone, or, I'd love to see them bring this character back in a new TV series. It would be a hit especially since Hollywood now is into the "forensic" show craze. The "Return of Hec Ramsey" or the "New Hec Ramsey" would be a major hit on TV today, especially with TV's improved multimedia technology. Maybe, someone in Hollywood will get a vision for this. --w2557
